Clearly, I should be paying more attention to what the folks at SPD have to say. I can’t believe I missed out on the Texas Monthly Rolling Roadshow. Two of my favorite Texas institutions, Texas Monthly and Alamo Drafthouse, teamed up to present screenings of iconic Texas movies in the cities/towns/farm-to-market roads where the films are set.

During a recent redesign project, I was exploring the candy store that is Font Bureau. As I was bookmarking my favorites such as Benton Sans and Quiosco, I began to notice that many of my favorites were all from the same font designer, Cyrus Highsmith.

It seems that the SPD and I were on the same page this week (pun shamelessly intended). They chose the new issue of Whole Living (formerly Body+Soul) as their “cover of the day” on Monday. I got my copy in the mail earlier this week and I’ve had sandwich cravings ever since.
